After a morning of trying to do everything, my to-do list hasn't got any smaller. In fact, I haven't actually crossed anything off of it yet. This is because all the things I've been doing didn't make it to the to-do list in the first place. Gah. All that work for no visible achievement and no satisfaction of putting black lines through items!
